WINTER WONDERLAND

Telling my story in 6 words: Snow flurries silently fluttering…winter dreams

There are strange and mysterious sounds

when the winds of winter blow,

the long nights are crystal clear and cold

and my world is covered with snow.

The stars are frosty against the sky

and the wind’s whistle is shrill

as the snow blows against the house

and drifts against the hill.

Yet, in winter I like to see

a white carpet hug the ground,

to plod through pillowy snow…(camera in hand…)

where deer tracks abound,

to feel the stillness

of a crisp winters night,

watch a silvery moon rise

over the snowy horizon

exposing a winter wonderland,

sparkling and magical...

feeling the bone structure of the landscape,

knowing that something waits beneath it…

the whole story yet to be revealed.

I'm a wife, a Mom and a Doodleloo (the name my grandchildren call me.) I'm retired, but have always been a communicator, art and music lover, an adventure traveler, reader and lately, a digital artist. I was a TV producer of documentaries and features for 25 years. Married to my best friend, we just celebrated our 55th wedding anniversary. I had a blog on another platform for 10 years...want to be more mobile so switched to WordPress.
