James Vernon Taylor, now 76 years old, started his public career in 1970… and the rest is history. His dulcet tones, his soft, gentle, calming voice, his deadpan, ironic sense of humor, his shy, “aw sucks” vibe and his casual persona make him a very appealing, sensitive singer-songwriter. Our family has loved him for sooo many years and we’ve seen him in so many different venues…always most enjoyable…he feels like home…like an old pair of comfortable slippers. But, sad to discover that he, like us, is aging. Every once in a while, during his 2 1/2 hour concert, he’d mix up a few words to very familiar tunes…and he’s looking older…but aren’t we all? He still jumps around, smiles a lot and clearly appreciates his audience as well as his son, who sings with him…We’re wild about our Sweet Baby James!!
